Mimosa has performed with companies such as Mimbre in London and Con Takt in Berlin, and she always love the chance to get back on the stage!
Kaveh Rahnama
Founder
Kaveh set up Nearly There Yet in 2015 after the creation of The Party, a show the company toured extensively across the UK, culminating in performances at London’s Royal Festival Hall as part of Guy Garvey’s (Elbow) Meltdown festival.
The Party was commissioned by Jacksons Lane Theatre, who have been longstanding supporters of his work.
With Nearly There Yet Kaveh produced touring shows for children and families (The Party, The Flying Bazazi Brothers, Memory Man and Pinocchio) as well as work for adults (Lab Rat, Home Sweet Home) he also ran hugely popular classes for young people and adults at Jacksons Lane.
Prior to Nearly There Yet, Kaveh set up and performed with the ground-breaking circus theatre company So & So Circus, with whom he created The Hot Dots and the hugely acclaimed Backgammon for Beginners.
He has worked with some of the leading names in UK contemporary circus as well as directing work for The Roundhouse and The National Centre for Circus Arts.
With Nearly There Yet he has focused on creating high quality, accessible work. He has also strived to address many of the inequalities that exist within the industry, and been an advocate for fairer rates of pay for freelance artists and performers.
He now continues to address many of these issues within his current role as project lead on Waltham Forests Future Formed programme, supporting young people from historically under- represented groups into roles within the creative industries.
